Our Belief

Give Jesus to the World

This is the statement of faith as believed and taught by Give Jesus to the World Ministries, based solely upon the Inspired Holy Scriptures and is in total agreement with foundational principles of Christian doctrine.
1. We believe in the One True God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the three persons of the Godhead are one, co-equal and co-eternal, with the same nature, attributes and perfections( Eph 4:5-6, Matt 28:19-20, Deut 6:4, 1 John 5:7)
2. We believe the Bible, containing both the old and the new testaments, comprising a total of 66 books, as the inspired, infallible, authoritative written word of God, having clarity and sufficiency to be the sole and supreme rule in all doctrinal issues and matters relating to Christian conduct and faith (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:20-21)
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin and conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His sinless life, His vicarious atoning death, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of God the Father (John 1:1-4, John 10:30, Matt 1:18-25, John 19:30-35, 1 Cor 15:6, John 20:25-29, Acts 1:9-11)
4. We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross provides wholesome salvation to the body, soul and spirit of everyone who puts his/her faith in Jesus Christ (1 Pet 2:24, Acts 3:16)
5. We believe that though originally created in the image of God, man willingly fell into sin initiating evil and death both physical and spiritual into the human world (Gen 1:27, Rom 5:12, Rom 3:23)
6. We believe that repentance from sins and faith in Jesus as the only means of being cleansed from sin, and, that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God is unequivocally imperative for personal salvation( Luk 24:47, Mark 16:16)
7. We believe in the two scripturally authorized ordinances:
a. The baptism in water by immersion, given only to those who believe in Jesus as the scripturally authorized ordinance that symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:16, Rom 6:3)
b. The Holy Communion as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation (Luke 22:19, 1 Cor 11:24-25)
8. We believe that the Holy Spirit of God who descended on the day of Pentecost that succeeded the ascension of Jesus Christ, according to Divine promise, can be received by every believer who asks for the infilling of the Spirit, with the apparent evidence of speaking in tongues. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells those who receive Him; sanctifying them and empowering them for Christian service and witness. (Acts 1:8, Luke 11:13, John 7:38-39, Acts 2:39, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6)
9. We believe that though sanctification occurs at salvation, it is not just confined to that point of time, but, is an ongoing lifelong process of keeping aloof from evil as each Christian continually grows, becoming more Christ like.( Phil 2:12,Acts 26:18, 1 Pet 1:2, John 17:17, Rom 15:16)
10. We believe the “Church” is the Body of Christ and that it consists of all people, who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus. (Rom 12:4, Col 1:18)
11. We believe in the mission of the Church, ordained by Christ to bear fruit and to seek and save all who are lost in sin and the bondage of the enemy. We believe the gospel is the power of God unto salvation and that it is by the preaching of the gospel with supernatural signs, miracles and healing's that the Church should fulfill the commission so that no man will base his faith on human wisdom but on the power of God. (Matt 28:19-20, Rom 1:16, Rom 15:19, 1 Cor 2:5)
12. We believe in the “Blessed Hope”; the rapture of the church and the second coming of Jesus Christ for the salvation of those who eagerly await Him and in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints to rule the earth (Heb 9:28, 1 Thess 4:16)
13. We believe in the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the former to eternal life and the latter to eternal judgment. (Rev 20:12-15)
14. We believe and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!' (2 Pet 3:13, Rev 21:1).
